"Toutes les grandes personnes étaient autrefois les enfants, mais seulement quelques-uns d'entre eux s'en souviennent..." Antoine de Saint Exupery
In English that says, "All grown-ups were once children....but few remember it."
That is a quote from one of my favorite books "Le Petit Prince" by Antoine De Saint Exupery.
This statement holds a great deal of truth for me. How many of us when we grow up forget about the innocence of youth? Forget how to use our imaginations and dream? When we are young we "know everything" and nothing is out of our reach. However, somewhere along the way of maturing we lose all we once knew.
We lose our sense of wonder and trade it in for expectation. We lose faith for skepticism. We lose imagination for substance.
I personally think its time we take it back. Yes we still need to live in reality, however, lets not be afraid to try new things. To experience adventure. To let our dreams run again so that we may chase them. Just because we grew up doesn't mean we have to forget where we started. It shapes us into who we are. Its time to give our inner child; the one we've buried for so long, a chance to rise again. A chance to show us how to live again.
Remember your inner child....
